Benton & Company is comprised of Ernie Benton, Kelly Benton and Jon Eagle. Collectively, the members possess experiences from such ministries as The Nelons, Don DeGrate Ministries, Billy Graham Ministries as well as others.

Our one goal is to reach others for Christ, states Ernie Benton. My wife and I have been singing together for many years. Kelly's Father, Phil Ross, traveled with The Harvesters Quartet as well as The Palmetto State Quartet in the early 1960's. As his children became old enough to sing, Phil began traveling and ministering with his family in churches, camp meetings and revivals in the eastern U.S.

I first met the Ross family at a concert in 1988, states Ernie. I began traveling and ministering with Kelly and her family in 1989. Kelly and I were married when she finished school in 1991. We continued ministering with my Father-in-law until he became ill with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) in late 1994. His situation quickly grounded us to the Monroe area and side lined the group for over seven years. God had a different kind of ministry for us during this time and it was amazing to see him work through a difficult situation. We lost Phil in late 2001.

It was in 2003 that I began praying about Gods plan for us with regards to our ministry, states Ernie. In considering the need for a third part, we remembered a young man we have watched periodically on a televised church program in our area. I made contact with him and the rest is history. Jon Eagle joins us with the same heartfelt desire to see lives changed and share the gospel with others. He is also an ordained Minister and sang with Don DeGrate Ministries. I knew one of the first steps we would need to take would be to begin the process of recording a project. Kelly had the opportunity to sing with The Nelons in 1993 and 1994. She recorded three projects with The Nelons. One of the projects she recorded during this time was on the Benson Label and produced by Lari Goss. His music has always been one of our favorites. Lari agreed to work with us and we are honored that he did. Without a doubt, the Lord has led us to this point and we are humbled and grateful to be able to minister for Him. Our hearts desire is to reach lost and hurting people and tell them of God’s great love for them. We also hope that the songs we sing will uplift and encourage the believer.
